Future trend for supply chains difficult to identify
Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Stölzle is Managing Director of the Institute for Supply Chain Management at the University of St. Gallen and an expert on logistics issues. In an interview with the Executive School, he talks (in German) about future trends in supply chain management and about challenges that may have to be faced in response to the corona crisis.
Supply Chain Management, which has developed and academicised from logistics due to increasing complexity, has to face many new challenges due to the corona pandemic. Global supply chains are facing many new hurdles – not only because of the virus but also because of political restrictions such as the creation of new trade barriers.
