What is the Career Empowerment Label?

Diverse teams have a positive impact on a company’s success. Employees with non-linear CVs bring new ideas and different perspectives to a company. Do you place value on what newcomers and career changers can offer? Are you committed to supporting and promoting this?

The University of St. Gallen, together with Avenir, has developed the Career Empowerment Label to recognize companies and organizations that consider job seekers with non-linear career paths and value diverse teams. The label offers potential employees valuable guidance in their job search. The label is awarded annually as part of the Career Empowerment Label Award Night.

Become part of our Career Empowerment Community

You can apply or be nominated for the Career Empowerment Label as a company or organisation. Both the application and nomination are free of charge. Thereafter, University of St.Gallen and Avenir Group representatives will evaluate your application or nomination. Successful applicants receive the label at the Career Empowerment Label Award Night.

The two-year membership costs CHF 4,500.

  • Use of the label for PR & marketing purposes for two years.
  • Membership in the Career Empowerment Community for two people within the company or organisation
  • Two exclusive Career Empowerment events per year

Application process:

Are you interested in the Career Empowerment Label? Then follow the steps below for a successful application.

  • You offer jobs or returnships to individuals with career breaks and non-linear CVs.
  • You offer standardised re-entry programmes.
  • You are a Women Back to Business Programme partner company.
  • You support and promote work and family compatability.

Your benefits

Boost for you corporate culture
The label is an obligation. It is intended to provide the impetus for your company to address, rethink and, if necessary, adapt its culture, values and processes (e.g. applications, recruitment, promotions, salaries, etc.).

Employer branding
The label is an important factor in strong employer branding, for both job seekers as well as for employees. It underpins the image of a modern, responsible and agile company and can be used as both a marketing and communication tool.
