PD Dr. Christian Erk is responsible at Henri B. Meier Entrepreneurial School of the University of St.Gallen as project director for the “Advanced Management Program in Health Care Transformation”. Previously, he was Director of University Development at the University of Liechtenstein and for several years Managing Director of the Executive MBA programs at the University of St.Gallen. He held an assistant professorship for management and ethics at the University of St.Gallen and gained further practical experience as assistant to the managing director of Grand Resort Bad Ragaz AG, as assistant to the foundation director of Diakoniewerk Neumünster and during an internship at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Kazakhstan.

After graduating from high school at St. Stephan’s School in Augsburg, Christian Erk studied economics at the University of St. Gallen and the Copenhagen Business School. He also holds a master’s degree in political theory from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He received his doctorate (Dr. phil.) from the University of Zurich and subsequently habilitated in business ethics at the University of St.Gallen. He also successfully completed the University of St.Gallen’s Higher Education Didactics (CAS) program.

Christian Erk teaches at the university Bachelor and Master level as well as in continuing education. His list of publications includes various books and scientific articles on management and ethics. The two most recent books he has published are the second edition of his English language introduction to ethics (“Moral Philosophy – Fundamental Concepts”) as well as a basic management work entitled “Integrative Management – A Model for Effective Practice in Corporate Management”.
