The Certificate of Advanced Studies in Aviation Accounta­bility, Safety and Compliance Management (CAS-ASCM) is a unique executive education at university level. For the last nearly 20 years, CFAC-HSG has been educating aviation managers. The CAS-ASCM develops high potential aviation managers into global aviation leaders by turning their aviation practice into capabilities for managing global aviation. lt prepares participants to maintain, stream and improve insights about the aviation market, competition, customers, suppliers and regulations. Capacities are built with respect to challenges in accountable management, internal auditing, risk, safety and security management and international responsible leadership.

Target Audience

The program is ideal for participants from companies across the aviation industry and participants who wish to enter the aviation industry.

Application Criteria

Aviation or aerospace industry experience and a bachelors or master degree are advantages, but not exclusively needed. At least two years of practical experience and good English written and spoken language skills are a precondition.

The CAS-ASCM develops high potential aviation managers into global aviation leaders by turning their aviation practice into capabilities for managing global aviation. It prepares participants to maintain, stream and improve insights about the aviation market, competition, customers, suppliers and regulations. Capacities are built with respect to challenges in accountable management, internal auditing, risk, safety and security management and international responsible leadership.

The direct transfer into practice is achieved by applying specific business cases, which are often introduced by the participants. Equipped with an overview, frameworks and tools, the participants will be able to lead, control and increase the efficiency of processes in global aviation management. They will receive structures and tools to auditing their companies and will be able to reduce the risk by using the provided risk management framework. Schemes for quality and safety management help them to comply with regulations. Finishing this program will enable the participants to influence and steer the company by applying their knowledge of the global system of aviation.

The aviation industry grows most in Asia these days and that’s why the International Management and Leadership Module will take place in Singapore. A special focus on how to do business and to feel and meet Asian business is essential. You will gain an overview of the Asian aviation business is essential. You will gain an overview of the Asian aviation business community and discuss market entry strategies. Furthermore, you will get to know how to successfully manage a company in a cross-cultural environment, since aviation managers need to be able to deal with different cultural backgrounds. Risk Management is key for any organisation. This module focuses on applying a risk management approach to structurally measure corporate risk in addition to safety and security risks.

To consistently ensure compliance, internal auditing becomes highly important. This module deals with compliance, the basic regulations to it and with how to install efficient internal auditing processes. You will get an introduction to auditing, but also deepen your knowledge of the whole audit process. To follow the auditing module, it is required to join the safety management basics class in the accountable management module.

Your application

Early admission is encouraged and must be received at least eight weeks prior to the program start.

Access is restricted to a limited number of participants from companies across the aviation industry an participants who wish to enter the aviation industry. The admission review committee accepts registrations according to the order of submission.

To be considered for the program, aviation or aerospace industry experience and a bachelors or master degree is an advantage, but not exclusively needed.

There are special rates for teams of the same organization or multiyear contracts.
